Howard-Heyward Round 1

Tonight marks the first of hopefully many match-ups between sluggers Ryan Howard, and Jason Heyward. Many experts have compared Heyward the rookie phenom to Howard. The Phillies first baseman won the NL rookie of the year award in 2006 at the age of 25, an award the 20 year old Heyward has his eyes on this season. There's much more at stake in this series that personal awards. Howard was a Brave killer last season, he had 3 multi-HR games against the Braves after the all-star break. The Phillies hold a one game lead over the Braves in the NL East. Although we're less than 15 games into the 2010 campaign this series still holds some importance. A series win for Atlanta could set the tone in the eastern division, and let Philly know that we're not to be taken lightly.
